Rose lilies are one of my favorite themes. Here I wanted to paint them with its different rose shades. By way of contrast, I added one blue-violet iris.

I made a field trip to Escazú and Heredia with the painting group led by my first teacher José Miguel Yglesias. This watercolor is the patio of an old house in Heredia.

I was born in San José, Costa Rica. I worked as Statistician for 30 years in different state institutions. 2003 I retired and a few months later I began to study painting. Soon I found out I loved watercolor. I have made three solo art shows.
